Essential Media USA has offices in Los Angeles and Dallas Fort Worth. The company came about through a joint venture between leading multi-genre production company Essential Media & Entertainment headquartered in Sydney and Quail TV .
The Group produces exceptional entertainment properties across a range of genres (including factual, scripted drama and comedy, animation and feature film) and represents a unique strategic footprint across three leading English speaking media markets. Scripted credits include the movie Saving Mr Banks (starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson) and Rake for Fox Network (starring Greg Kinnear). The Australian version of Rake is also available in the US on Netflix and DirecTV. Unscripted productions include: The Carbonaro Effect on TruTV, Panic Button on TruTV, Fools Gold on Animal Planet, The Human Experiment on Natgeo, Texas: Flip ‘n Move on DIY Network, Restored HGTV, My Brother, the Serial Killer on ID and Australia: The First 4 Billion Years on PBS.
Essential Media is led by CEO Chris Hilton, Greg Quail as CCO and Jesse Fawcett as President. Paul Taylor heads US Unscripted Development as VP, while Simonne Overend is VP of Scripted Development.
